Before connecting

Confirm the account, property, site, environment, dataset, or channel. Grant only the access required for the intended workflow.

Publishing behavior

Lantern can create CMS drafts in connected systems. Live publishing depends on connector configuration, workflow policy, user permissions, and an approval boundary. Do not assume that connecting a CMS enables unattended publication.

Disconnecting

Disconnecting prevents future access but does not automatically remove data already imported into Lantern or work already created in the external system.
